one of the reasons why i love the obournes Family is that they are so involved in addressing the needs of there fellow countrymen to others esp the Govt. Hope They'll hear you guys out. Keep it Up Annie you got a powerful voice & i salute your courage.
My name is Annie. I am 21 years old. I have Rett Syndrome, a developmental disorder that occurs only in girls. It affects my motor skills, my ability to use my hands, prevents me from speaking or otherwise communicating effectively, and causes other problems such as seizures. Recently, I've been forced to leave my home at the Center for Discovery, which has left me lonely, depressed, and without essential services that keep me healthy in mind and body. My family and friends are writing this blog to give me the voice that I need.
You can help too. Please contact our NJ elected officials and let them know that it's not ok to terminate enriching, community-based services for me and other disabled young adults at 21, forcing us to choose between spending the rest of our lives in inadequate hospital-like institutions or back at home without the therapies and socialization that we need.
You go!! Great spot.. Always loved Sharon!
